Study Session:

Tom Hoby presented the background on Open Space pursuing accreditation by the National Recreation & Park Association. The accreditation process has forced the Division to look at procedures for many of the tasks they are already doing, and it provides a reference base when contesting for grants, etc.

Amendments to the County Administrative Policies relating to the acquisition process and firearms use in Open Space Parks were presented and discussed.

Regular Session:

OSAC was brought up-to-date on the progress of the Master Plan draft. PLAN Jeffco representatives attended all of the sub-committee meetings and commented when appropriate.

Amendments to the County Administrative Policies relating to the acquisition process and firearms use in Open Space Parks were approved.

Terms were approved for acquisition of State Land Board-owned properties in Deer Creek Canyon Park (hogback), 160 acres, and Coal Creek Park (Blue Mountain), 640 acres.
