Jefferson County Open Space aims to revise their master plan, now called the Conservation Greenprint, every five years. The purpose of the Open Space Conservation Greenprint is to set goals and objectives needed to ensure the continued success of the Open Space Program. The Conservation Greenprint, along with the Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC) and the Board of County Commissioners, guides Jefferson County Open Space in its direction and operation.
Past Initiatives
PLAN Jeffco’s board and volunteers conserve the remaining open spaces in Jefferson County by watching over and advocating for the Jefferson County Open Space Parks and Open Space Program, educating decision makers, hosting candidate nights and engaging in policy discussions. In doing so, we work with Open Space staff, the citizen-staffed Open Space Advisory Committee and elected officials and coordinate with other organizations and interests that share our goals. We strive to work at a strategic level to move open space conservation thinking and action forward.

OSAC Documents and Meeting Notes
As part of our oversight function, PLAN Jeffco members attend the monthly Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC) meetings.
The Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC) is a ten member committee of citizens appointed by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC). The Open Space Advisory Committee works with Open Space staff and makes recommendations to the BCC regarding Open Space policies, procedures, and expenditures for new open space land acquisitions and maintenance of existing Open Space Parks throughout the year.
